【靴デザイナーにできるヒント】

パタからいいヒントをもらいました

東北地方のためにできることをずっと考えています。

長渕剛さんのように歌えることもできず。

石原軍団や上戸彩さんや中居正広さんように炊き出しができるわけでもなく

もちろん大会社の社長やスポーツ選手のようにお金をポンと出せることもなく

ただただ今できることは何もなくって

節電とか...
買い占めをしないとか...
募金をするとか...

がんばってみたのだけれど本当にできることは何だろう？
靴デザイナーとして何ができるのだろうかずっと考えていました。

今何となくみつかったような気がします。
今というよりこれから僕ができることはきっとこういうことなんだなと思います。
すこし遅くなったけれど今から僕はやっと東北のために動いてみようと思います。

少しでもお役に立ちますように...

These boots felt comfortable right out of the box. The old style skywalk rubber soles gripped everything but they wore out way too fast. The company has since changed the soles, but I like the old ones better. They gave good feel of the terrain without feeling skimpy. If you can find a pair of last year's model, i.e. non vibram, I highly recommend these shoes

【華やかだった９０年代】

なかなかエンジンがかりませんがゆっくり更新していきますね。

昨日神保町までポタしてきましたがかなり暖かったのですね。
さすが神保町アウトドアのメッカです。
すでに半パンの人を見かけましたよ。

アウトドアな格好は今シーズンも引き続き鉄板のように思います。
特に原発問題と節電問題は日本人をエコ意識の高い民族にするでしょうね。

アウトドア回帰。
もう少しトレンドとして引っ張ることができそうです。

そこで靴選びは何をするべきかということですが
店頭の動きをみるとハイキング系の靴が動きが良いみたいなのでかなり充実しています。
メレルはあいかわらずの絶好調。
ラスポルティバやガルモントもよく動いているみたいですね。
ガルモント...なんか違和感感じます（笑
最初日本で展開されたのはビームスだったと思いますが
その時は英語発音のガーモントと言ってたように記憶しています。
当時BOONなんかにはかなり載っていましたね。

そのガルモントからスティッキーウィークエンドが復刻されています。
ぼてっとしていてコロンとしていて...
デザイン的にはかなりへんてこだと思うのですがこれがこの靴のアジです。
当時から思っていましたがださいなぁ（いい意味で）何度見ても（笑
以前の記事でも書きましたがNIKEのACG世代としては
サイドパネルのところについついステッチを入れたくなるもんですが
この靴何もないじゃないですか
それがコロンと見えてしまう原因と思いますが
潔い。
僕にはこのデザインできないな（笑
つま先のレザー部（GARMONTと入っているところ）も太すぎると思うんですよね

あと配色ですよね
美色美色。
パーンとした色の革はなかなか日本では手に入りませんので
これもまた日本製ではそう簡単には作れないんですよね。

最近世間の空気が重いのでこのくらい派手派手しいのを作ってみたいものです。

先日久々に郷に帰ったらこれのオリジナルをまだ友達が履いていて
すすめた方としてはかなりうれしかったっす。

街履きには細いし固いのでおすすめはしませんけど

【売れてるみたいですね】

フランチェスコ＝ベニーニョというブランド。
ナポリのブランドですがあれに似ていますよね（笑

そうブランキーニ。

彼らの工房でブランキーニを作っていたそうです。
一時期安いラインもやっていましたがここが担当していたみたいですね
ノルベなんかの高いのはメッカリエロが担当していたみたいですね
＝フォンテンブローが扱わなくなってからはコストカットで昔の良さがなくなりました
ここの商品を見ていると玉虫色（＝茶色であららしく色むらをつけたあとに緑で仕上げる）が素敵です。
他にもかわった物があるのですが

これで４万円きっているとかすごいですよね
やっぱりいくらがんばってもこの雰囲気は国産は勝てないです（笑

ベルルッティからはじまるこの手の靴は一時期の大ブームは去りましたけど
これから靴の芸術品の一つとして残っていくのでしょうね

やはりLVMHはすごいな

そういえば海老百貨店で山長のパターンオーダーやっています。
チゼルで色塗りとかやっていますが...コルテみたいな
すでに山長のコンセプトでなくなったよね〜
どうすんだろ彼ら（笑

東京でもあちこちのビルが激しく揺れていました
交通機関も麻痺で全く動くことができませんでした

そこに残るのは深い深い悲しみだけです

ほんとに心より心よりお悔やみとお見舞い申し上げます

【良いでっしょ☆】

ネオンカラーがここ１~2年ほどトレンドカラーになっていますが
おかしな靴下を見つけてしまいましたよ（笑
たまたま通ったGUで値段が490円しかしません
でも５足も変な色が入っています
も少し暖かくなったらこれと革靴をあわせてみるつもり（笑

【やっぱりいいっす】

AIR PENNYっす

ペニーのシリーズがどんどん復刻されていきます
フォームポジットの復刻が大当たりしちゃったからいい流れなのでしょう
ペニー自信は結局あんまりぱっとしなかったのですけどね
彼のキャリアはオーランド最強だったシャックとのコンビ解消するまでかと
しかしこのサイズで柔らかいタッチとこのパスセンス
衝撃的な選手でしたな

それにしてもこのあたりのKICKSは最強です☆
NBAのシグニチャーもここから乱発全盛期でしたしね

ちょうどご親戚のWAY UPあたりをNBAの選手が履きまくっていた中で
（ピッペンとロッドマンのブルズカラーのWAYUPもよかったすもんね）
ペニーだけは特別な感じでした

しかもまたオーランドカラーってブルズカラーの対局でそれまたかっこ良かった☆
黒×白×青はよかったなぁと

ずんぐりむっくりのPENNY2よかこっちのほうがいいっす
でも２の方が売れた気がします＝あわせやすかった白×白がね特に
そしてフォームポジットは斬新すぎて実際は当時売れませんでした（トータルで見た場合）

考えてみればこのようなバッシュを街中で履くことももうないだろうなぁ

しかしこの時代にどんな服にこれをあわせていたのかさっぱり思い出せない...（笑

はずかしいかっこうしていたんだろうなぁ

ちょっとあきました
震災の後はどうも調子が出ないですね

うちの上司が仙台までいたのですけど震災では瓦礫の山だそうです

あるサイトで言っていましたが
うちのあった場所に帰りたいでも瓦礫の山の中では釘がいっぱい出たままで
スニーカーなんかで歩いてしまうと釘を踏んですぐに破傷風になってしまうそう

安全靴が本当に必要だそうです

こういう人の方のためにもきっと今必要なのは安全靴や長靴なんでしょうね

そこでその災害現場で働いていらっしゃる
自衛隊の皆様が履いている陸上自衛隊用のコンバットブーツ
これらを”戦闘靴２号”というそうです
戦闘靴ですよ
なんだか帝都物語でてきそうです

しかもちゃんとベロ裏タグに戦闘靴と書いてあったりします
製造はミドリ安全が行っています

これらの靴はアメリカと同じく国内で作ることが大前提になっていますので
少しぐらいコストが高かろうと全て国内で調達することが義務になっています
まさに国益のためにと言った感じでしょうか？
コーコランやHHブラウン、ダナーやベイツと同じく
防水フィルム入りのライニングにタフなアウトソールとバリスティックナイロンの組み合わせ
ちょっとデザインは独特ですが基本はアメリカのタクティスブーツに近いですね

何卒自衛隊の皆様にはがんばっていただきたい
僕らには絶対できないことをできる素晴らしい人たちですよね

なんだかそろそろ風化し始めている東北のことちゃんとちゃんと考えないと
政府も東電も嘘ばっかりですけども

何いきなりこの話かと言いますと
久しぶりにお会いしたHさんが実はものすごい職人さんでして
この戦闘靴のサンプルを作った方でしていやいやすごい方でした
また話が無茶面白い〜（笑
連れて行ってくれたIさんと同じく靴オタの元祖みたいな人で
この人に製法やら型のことやらとりあえずきけば何とかなるような
師匠っと言うより神様みたいな人ですね

いやいやこんな人に会えるなんて〜
素敵な仕事をしているわけです

そしてそれだけでなくHさん
たまにギャルソンの靴なんかも作っています
セレクトショップの靴の原型なんかも作っています

まさに師匠です

そしてシースー食わしてもらった後にフィリピンパブまでつきあわされました（笑
日本の職人さんはそれにしてもフィリピンパブ好きだな
それ抜きにしてもちゃんとがんばりますからね

戦闘靴...それにしてもかっこ良くないですか？

The manufacture of it is carried on nearly all place where the leather industry flourishes at all, but the centers of business are at Philadelphia,Pa,Newark,N.J.,wilmington, del and lynn mass.


One of the main centres of leather production was Córdoba, which was famous by the 10th century for its guadameci, a type of soft leather. The term was derived from the Libyan town of Ghadames, which produced a similar type of soft goatskin dressed with alum. Córdoba (hence the English term ‘cordwainer’) produced guadameci in its natural white form or dyed red with kermes. The leather was sometimes covered with gold or silver foil, and during the 14th century this metallized surface was punched. During the early 17th century, designs were embossed on silvered leather using moulds in a modified printing press. Other centres of production in Spain were Granada, Seville and Valencia. The leather was used for upholstery, cushions, floor coverings, wall and bed hangings and ecclesiastical purposes (antependiums, kneelers and vestments).

【今日は歴史の勉強です☆】

いきなり英語の本の1ページですが何だと思います？
実はこれ難しい英語がいっぱい書いてありますがこれは１８９２年のアメリカの本の1ページ。
＜leather making＞という特集です。

そもそも革とは何かということから始まり各部の名称やら鞣し方やら
樽のことやら工場のことやら本当にこと細かく書いてあるんですよね
当時の人がこのようなことを知りたかったのか？というほど思いっきり専門的です（笑

さてその中でもとても興味深い行がこれです
（その前のバーチオイルのロシアンレザーの記述も気になりますが）

and cordovan,
a small-grained,soft leather,which takes its name from spanish city Cordva.

コードバンの説明の際よく言われるのが
スペインのコルドバか？アルゼンチンのコルドバか？ということがよく書いてありますが
この時代はスペインの革だと断言しちゃってますね

ここから歴史の勉強です

北西部のアフリカに定住していたベルベル人（ギリシャ語のバルバロイ＝バーバリアンの語源）は
７世紀にアラブ人が侵略イスラム教徒に改宗させ混血化が進んでいきます
その混血民族をムーア人と呼ぶのですが彼らは８世紀にはスペインを占領するまでになります
（ウマイヤ朝時代）

ベルベル人はアラブ人から教わったイスラム教を熱心に信仰する部族になったので
侵攻してきた彼らをスペイン語のモスリムをあらわすモロと言われるようになります
（※別の説もあるようですがけっして山犬神ではありません）
それがモロ（moros）→ムーア(moors)になったようですね

そのムーアスペイン＝後ウマイア朝の首都になったのがコルドバという街です
コルドバは10世紀には西方イスラムの首都として世界最大の人口を誇ったそうです

そしてモロが伝えた革と言われているのがこのコルドバレザーだと言われています
彼らの戦闘用の盾や胸当てに使用したりしていたそうです



後に本の装丁用にも使われ（同じくピカっているブックバインダーカーフと関係があるのかな？）
テーブルの天板に使ったり、金箔銀箔を施した上で装飾用としても使われたみたい

そもそもムーア人が伝え８００年あたりにコルドバで製造がはじまったコルドバレザーは
"羊"の皮をミョウバンで鞣す秘伝の革のことをいったそうです
この革はとても柔らかく真っ白な色をしていたそうです
また植物のアカネを使った赤い（正確にはマルーン色）コルドバレザーの美しさは
すぐにヨーロッパ中に広がることになり
フランスではこの革のことをcordouanと呼ぶようになり
イギリスではcordwainと呼ぶようになりました

さてリビアに世界遺産にも登録されているガダミスという街がありまして
そこで装飾されたタペストリーや箱を総称guadameciというそうですが
この装飾は革に銀箔や金箔を施し独特の模様を入れていく装飾だそうです
このguadameci　というのはググってもらえばわかりますがかなりの芸術品ですね





そのguadameci用の革として使われたのが山羊をミョウバンで鞣した革だそうです
この革の巻いた家具は１６世紀スペインをハプスブルグ家が支配した際に
ハプスブルグ家に贈り物として配られたのを機にヨーロッパ全土に広がることになります
これで箔押し装飾などををされたものを総称してコルドバレザー（コードバン）と呼ぶようになったようです

同じミョウバンで鞣した革、同じようなアラブ系の皮の装飾
これがいつの間にか本家のコルドバレザーの呼称に取って代わってしまったということみたいです

※それとモロッコレザーという装丁用の革があります
これも山羊の皮を鞣した革なんですがこれもどうも起源は一緒のようです（というより同じものですね）
バブシューのようなものに白革の遺伝子みたいなものを感じますね

そこでコードバンですが当時の装飾品お数々を見ていても
艶のある革というよりも赤い（マルーン）色の革に装飾したものが多いのですよね





もしかしたら
深い紅色の革のことをコードバンと言っていたのかな
...とみさかはみさかは思ってみたり
それだったら今現在コードバンカラーということも話が繋がりますしね

これがアメリカに渡ったときにコードバンになったわけですが
羊のコルドバレザーが今の馬のコードバンになったのか？

謎は深まるばかりです（笑


...結局今日は結論なし（笑

ということだと書いてあったのですがそもそもがそのムーア人たちが伝える前に
コルシカ島やサルデーニャ島のイスラム系の秘伝の山羊革の鞣しの方が本家
という書き方をしている本もありますのでどちらが最初なんでしょうね？
ミョウバン鞣しはギリシャ時代からあるそうで秘伝と言うほどでもないのではないかなと思いますが


歴史が深すぎてうまくまとまんないんでまた書き直します（笑

とは言うもののこの間後楽園近くを通りましたら梅がきれいに咲いていましたよ
あいかわらずの梅好きですが

その雪道用の定番と言えば日本ではコロンブスのユキダスなんですが
ビブラムからまた素晴らしい商品がでていました
こんな商品知っていましたか？（笑
黄色いマークがまたききますね☆

最近会社として拡大路線を取っているわけですが
もう底材ブランドではNO,1ブランド
追従するメーカーがもうないもの

昔はビルトライトやキャッツパウなんかあったのでしょうけども
すべて消滅もしくは吸収されてしまいましたしね
５本指といいまだまだこれから快進撃は続きそうです

これからソール業界はどうなっていくんだろ？
ブリジストンとかダンロップ（日本の）とか出せばいいのにね〜
儲かんないか（笑

でも靴はライセンスとはいえやっているわけですから
ヒールとかソールとか出せばいいのにね〜
そしたらうちみたいな職業は随分と助かりますが

それにしてもビブラムがそのうち靴屋さんになる日も近いのでしょうか？
それはそれで売れそうですけどね

László Vass was born 1946 in Budapest. With 17 years he started his career in an Hungarian fashionhouse. Vass Shoes will never become a mass product. The Owner of VASS shoes belongs thereby to a small elitären group. And it was always a little more expensive to have a good taste. 【なんかこの辺りにヒントはないかと】

コンフォートシューズ屋さんの話がきていて今いろいろ考えていますが（妄想も含め）
コンフォートシューズって難しいですよね
白衣先生といろいろ話をしていて歩きやすい靴とは何ぞやという話になりました
先生はグッドイヤーでもしっかりと足に会っていれば歩きやすいと言います
でも確かにそうなんですがグッドイヤーもういっぱいあるからいいや〜みたいな感じでもあります

昔みたいにいろんな靴履きたいと思わなくなってしまったのは良くない傾向だ（笑
でもやっぱりこの辺りは気になるもんです

László Vass のブタペストラスト（写真はブタペストラストではないのもありますが）
基本カントリーモノが大好きなわけですからこの辺りは大好物な訳ですね
しかも目に見えて個性的☆重要なのは個性だと思います

つま先が垂直もしくはつま先側にたっているのはこの辺りの地方の特徴ですが
ほんとにつま先がルーミーだと思います

これに整形インソールとか入るとき良いんでしょうねwww

も少しこの辺りを研究してみる価値ありそうですね

グッドイヤーもこの辺りなら履いてみたいかも
むしろノルウィージャンウェルトかな☆

【随分前のモデルですが】

1998年にEDITOR'S CHOICEを受賞したブーツです
個人的趣向かもしれませんがリップストップナイロンって萠です
しかもスペクトラ（格子状）柄が一番萠です
白いステッチがたまりませんよね
というのがわかるのは僕らの世代だけかな？（笑

このボイジャーの大ヒット後にテクニカはリップストップナイロンシリーズを
結構出していましたがどれもデザインが素晴らしく良かった
...だったような気がしますが随分前のことだから覚えていません（笑

ただこのボイジャーは結局超えれませんでしたけどね

このリップストップナイロンですがスイスのショーラー社の生地を使っているそうです
(現在アークのナイロンなんかにも使われていますが)
この生地はKEPROTECという生地でデュポンのケブラーとポリアミド糸のダイナフィルを
編み込んだ特殊な素材でバリスティックナイロンです

つまり強度も強く軽い素材を靴に使ったことが新しかったわけです
リップストップを使うというのは最先端でしたしね

またTCY＝TECNI-DRYとは独自の防水素材で1995年から採用されました
当初は6レイヤーで構成されこの時代はシンパテックスとのコンビで
後にゴアテックスになります

さてこのブーツ
現物はものすごくかっこ良かったのですがまったく売れませんでした
一つはテクニカというブランドが日本では全く浸透していなかったこと
そして木型が異常に細かったこと
またつま先近くまであるDカンがこれまたものすごいフィット感でしたしね

まぁいくらかっこよくても売れないものですが

こんなブランドの時代をかえるような靴を作ってみたいもんですね

さてなぜいきなりテクニカかと申しますと
先日ルームスに行ったついでに石井スポーツによったところ
ずらっとテクニカが並んでおりましてまぁどれも素晴らしいこと☆

デザインはもう一つなんですがなんかブランドがしっかりしてきたなという感じを受けました

多分日本市場でのプロモーションのやり方がかわったんだろうなと思ったら
つい最近（2009年から）ジャパンになっておりました

輸入元がかわると商品が代わり
わかっている人が輸入すればちゃんとブランドかできるもんですね
デッキシューズで爆発したパラブーツとか良い例ですし（うちらのパラではない...）
今後はブルックスに期待したいところです

テクニカのムーンブーツとかTRCの話は別の機会にしますが
今回びっくりしたのはテクニカのスキーブーツって今ポンプシステム！なんですね（笑
こりゃハイテクだわ☆びっくりしました☆
